Chocolate Covered Strawberries
The classic Valentine’s Day treat…Chocolate covered strawberries! YUM!! The best part of this recipe…All you need to make the delicious, hardening chocolate is a bag of chocolate chips and a tablespoon of butter. A microwave can melt the chocolate or a double boiler can make melting the chocolate even easier.
Just let the chocolate covered strawberries sit in the refrigerator until the chocolate sets for the best finish.

12 large, ripe strawberries (with leaves)
6-7 oz. of your favorite chocolate chips
1 T. butter or coconut oil
- Washthe strawberries carefully and pat dry with a paper towel. Set aside. Put on a plate covered with parchment or wax paper.
2. Melt the chocolat and butter in the microwave in a microwave safe dish, stirring every 30 seconds or in a double boiler, stirring often until smooth.
3. Hold each berry by the leaves, carefully dip into the chocolate, let the excess chocolate drip off.
-Place the berry on the parchment or wax paper.
-Do not let berries touch each other.
-When finished dipping the 12 berries, place the plate into the refrigerator until the chocolate sets.
